Green Spring Bouquet

Today I challenged myself to just paint quickly. From the time I brought the bouquet of daffodils into my studio, to the time I cleaned my brushes and palette  when finished: 45 minutes. Is it perfection? No, and no painting will ever stand up to perfection, but it is my impression of these flowers in this moment, and it was a fun moment. That is enough.

  1. You are so right. The word 'perfect' doesn't exist in the vocabulary of art. This painting is what I aspire to! So full of texture and your supporting background and shading make it all pop. I can almost imagine that if I touched your focal flower, pollen would come off on my finger.
