She's a "Super" Girl

Sippy cup in hand and "binkey" in her mouth, she is off to save the day. That's my favorite little super girl.

Please pardon me for re-posting this. This photo represents the painting better. The colors are true. Thank you for viewing my art.

Decatur Street Blues

Not far from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, Louisiana, right along the Riverwalk. Hot sunshine, cool blues.  Can't you hear the music?  14x11 oil on panel

In the Shade of the White Crape Myrtle

The thermometer on the north facing porch reads 104 degrees. I painted this on the south facing porch, under the shade of the tree in the garden. I really appreciate that tree's shade today.

playing with paint

This evening I just played with paint--no brushes allowed--just palette knives, kleenex, paper towels, fingers, anything but a brush. It was interesting to push the paint around with no expectations. I've gone back and tinkered with it some more since I took this picture, but I'll just post this for now.

It was the very best of times....and I still have no idea what they were laughing about. :D " A woman without her sisters is like a bird without wings."  This painting should be called "On the Wings of Love".  I've always admired the bond between these sisters.

Midas Sunset in Early Spring

In spring and fall, when the trees are still without their dense cloak of green leaves, I can see the sunset through the trees. The setting sun turns everything it touches to gold. 5x7, oil on panel

Oh Beautiful for Spacious Skies

Spacious skies, green fields and trees, the summer sound of cicadas and tree frogs singing the close of day hymn that I love so much.     5x7 oil on panel

End of Hay Day

Repainted the tractors, for purposes of color harmony and because I learned to drive a John Deere tractor when I was five. ;)
