Sunlit Sisters

5x7, oil
Sunlit Sisters
A happy memory from simpler times.

(Since my work is now being stolen by a company who is selling posters of my work without my permission, I'm posting only poor images of my work.  This is a sad turn of events to be sure.  Please, if you are interested in my work, just contact me.  Don't support thieves who steal the images.)

Wabash River Floodwaters, Field to Finish Award, First Brush of Spring, New Harmony, Indiana

A very quick study (30 minutes) on an overcast day. The mosquitos were fierce!
This piece won a Field to Finish Award in New Harmony First Brush of Spring.

Flirtatious Spring

Today I'm 'painting' in words:

Flirtatious spring,
Wearing that bright green dress,
Stretched like velvet over voluptuous hills and valley.

Gaudy scarf of dogwood and redbud,
Brooch of forsythia worn a shade too low.

Rouge of tulips,
Rings of posies.

She wears a sly smile
Playing about her lips.

She winks,
And struts towards summer.

A Rooster Named Opal Ann
